Children's Meditations and the Mystical Mermaids

In today's adventure at the Magic Library you find a book called Mystical Mermaids.
When you take it down you see the cover has three mermaids sitting on some rocks in the sea, laughing and playing.
One has scales of glittering gold with a heart shaped face, another has scales of glittering silver and a lovely big smile with pearly, shiny teeth, and the third (who is facing away from you) has glittering emerald green scales.
You say your magic word and the book opens and golden light pours out.
Before you can count 1, 2, 3 you have entered the story of the Mystical Mermaids.
